FPIES Help

Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome is a difficult disease and follows no rules. It is non-pathogenic and is diagnosed based on symptoms. Each story is unique, making the simple task of feeding your child daunting and scary. It presents itself in various forms, mostly acute and severe GI upset; either vomiting or diarrhea. Some children go into shock and need to be hospitalized, while others suffer through extreme pain until the episode resolves on its own.
